Hello, and welcome to Honey & Oil. Several years ago I read the One Year Bible cover to cover for the first time. The experience was akin to finding water in the desert, but water so rich it poured like honey and oil. The experience compelled me to read it again the next year…and the next, and the next…. Today my bookcase overflows with more than a dozen ring-binder journals which have attempted to capture what it is I find in these passages, though my words continually fall short. In the interest of storage space, I’ve decided to have mercy on the trees and continue to write my thoughts in here. If you’re visiting and reading my blog, I’m surprised and honored–and I hope you’ll feel free to comment or just return the hello.

**Please feel free to also check out my other (shiny new) blog which peeks more into my daily life (eg. writing, empty-nesting, health & sports, genealogy and the half-family discoveries, etc.) :
